💥 OpenAI + MCP: A Revolution in Agentic AI?

OpenAI's adoption of Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP) might be the most important move in software interoperability since REST.

It doesn't just streamline integrations—it standardizes how agents access tools, data, and context across platforms. Think USB-C, but for AI agents.

Why does this matter? Because without a standard, enterprise agents are stuck in plugin hell: fragile, siloed, impossible to scale.

Now, with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Microsoft all backing MCP, we're entering a new phase:

✅ One integration layer for multiple AI providers

✅ Secure, OAuth-based access to tools and data

✅ Dynamic discovery of capabilities (zero hardcoding!)

✅ Easier governance, logging, and auditability

Now that OpenAI is onboard, the reign of MCP can start and we can all safely invest in this foundation layer.

What should you do about this now?

A lot still needs to be structured but this was a small step for OpenAI and a big step for AI.
